By using BlurPen ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. BlurPen reserves the right to update these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
BlurPen provides a free, browser-based tool for redacting sensitive information from images and PDF documents. All file processing occurs entirely in your browser; no files are uploaded to any server.
3. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- The files you upload and process using the Service.
- Ensuring your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws, including but not limited to privacy laws, copyright laws, and data protection regulations.
- Maintaining appropriate backups of your original files before redacting.
- Verifying that your redactions are sufficient for your compliance needs (BlurPen does not provide legal or compliance advice).
4. Prohibited Uses
You may not use BlurPen to process files that contain illegal content or to facilitate any illegal activity. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service.
5. No Warranty — As-Is Service
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. BlurPen makes no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the Service at your own risk. BlurPen strongly recommends verifying your exported files before sharing them in any sensitive or compliance context.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BlurPen and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to data loss, privacy breaches, or inadequate redaction.
7. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
